a tragic but inspiring tale of manhood in its prime

i wonder why i am writing right now, when i can barely keep my eyes open.

i worked today. but, um, not much. because C and i were the only people there most of the time and boy, are we chatty! i feel some guilt, as i'm paid hourly and i got very little done. eh. whatever.

then i froze my frickin ass off walking home. i missed the part where someone said it was hat weather. my bad.

and then rehearsal. we spent an hour and a half on 8 pages of music. oy. i used to hate that about an old conductor. oh no, i don't want to be like him. please, no.

so... somehow i ended up with not 1, not 2, not even 3, but actually 4 betas! hehehhhee. perhaps a little excessive for my diminutive story. but dude, it's GREAT! this is the life, let me tell you. well... mostly i'm just peeing my pants in delight that no one told me to scrap it and start over or some such. and everyone has such helpful things to say. ::sigh:: i love all four of you. no one should ever have to write anything without a beta. i mean, writing for school would have been so much less painful this way. perhaps i would not have hated it so much. perhaps.

also, the sky tonight... so clear and beautiful. i realized i couldn't remember the last time i'd looked up at stars. tsk tsk.

we have to live with what we did, with what we saw

sex-ish photo manips kind of freak me out - you know, heads glued onto to shiny naked torsos and all. there's just always something a little freaky about those.

i need to go to lexington, pick up some music. organize some church stuff. get rally bus tickets. go to harvest. (eeeek!!! we're out of coffee!!!) edit the fic. go to the bank. plan rehearsal. work out. finish thing. hm. this seems do-able.

ye tread on pathways of light

dude, there are 25 buses full of people going to the rally from northampton. 25! lil ol'noho!

we finally managed to get tickets for one of the boston buses after days of trying. they kept selling out and then they would get more and then those would sell out within an hour. this is going to be big.

i did manage to get off the s/r mope wagon and do a few useful things today. laundry. went to lexington and the grocery store. taught myself a dar tune on the guitar. just the chords mind you, i can't play for shit. i also can't play f chords and thus am very pleased with my ability to transpose.

and now off to a rehearsal that i've just been informed may contain some high school students. oy. and many catholics. which means i should probably be less irreverent about the mass text than i usually am. the uus think i'm funny. but the guy on fresh air today said the uus have a better sense of humor than the catholics. *g* it's true they tell jokes about themselves all the time... do catholics do that?
