here's a question. with what character from a non-hp fandom would you slash remus? post-ootp is what i'm asking for here (because the only way i candle handle remus not with sirius is if sirius is most definitely out of the proverbial picture.) i wrote an epic remus/bran (dark is rising) in my head. and i've seen some remus/giles suggestions. and then prillalar just mentioned fantasies of wes at hogwarts and whoa, my brain exploded. bc um. remus/wes? would be hot. would be... yeah. would be good. so who else? viggo? ahahaha. oooh! bernard!

I'm definitely on the Remus/Giles train, though Remus/Wes could be very hot. I saw one exceptionally sweet Remus/Xander, which, given the age difference should bother me, but maybe because I know Remus didn't change Xander's diapers, it doesn't. ANd of course, Remus/Oz is the obvious pairing.

I also like Remus/Bayliss (from Homicide). Remus/Dan Rydell (from SportsNight) also has possibilities.

Had to second these, big time, and add that if Remus were to go Sorkin, I'd also put in a vote for Sam Seaborn. Ooh, and either Stuart or Vince from QAF UK. Probably Vince, given his luck, he'd the the one to pull a werewolf. ;)

oh, a remus/xander? that's kind of hard to imagine, but i'd love to see it nonetheless. remus/oz is obvious yes... but kind of uninteresting to me. i don't know, maybe too much similarity?

and sadly, i can't comment on bayliss or dan for lack of familiarity with the fandoms.

but i'm having much fun thinking about remus. mmm.

I've read and enjoyed Remus/Giles, and I 100% ship Remus/Wesley. But I could dig Remus/Angel, and I could also groove on Remus/Riley in a one-night-stand-in-Belize kind of way.

If Remus were in the Firefly 'verese, I would be torn between Remus/Mal and Remus/Simon, but I think Mal would win because Simon is too tentative for Remus' liking, and Remus would enjoy the chase and capture of a man as layered and slippery, and tormented by loss of faith, as Mal.

I would totally ship Remus/Chrestomanci except I want Chrestomanci all to myself.

yeah, i kind of the remus/oz isn't the most exciting idea ever. it seems more angsty-fun to pair werewolf with non-werewolf. but i do love them both so. mmm.

omg! so how about remus needs to get away after ootp... goes to america... montana? yes. and he's out in the wild. the wild! there's no one around for miles and miles and miles. so at the full moon, he can just let the wolf run. and it does him some good. until one morning he wakes up and there's someone there. in the middle of nowhere! this rugged stranger is sitting there silently, waiting for him to wake up. when remus does wake up, the man hands him a warm, herby-smelling drink and tells him it will help with the transition. the man's voice is gravelly and he looks politely away as remus sits up and remembers he's completely naked. but he drinks bitter, unpleasant tea and feels warmth spread everywhere. he studies the man's profile, feeling and eerie sense of deja vu. 'do i know you?' he asks, handing back the empty cup. 'no,' the man replies, 'but you will.'

Remus/Dom. Pub-crawling, like, and Remus would see Dom from across the room, and Dom would be a bit smashed on good scotch. Remus would sit in front of the fire and watch, and wait, and eventually Dom would realize he was being watched and he'd giggle up to Remus's table, flirting.

Dom would remind Remus of Sirius, that sort of reckless laddish type, charming and devilish. Early Sirius, without the baggage and the complications, and Remus would want that so badly.

It would only be later, in the alley with Remus's teeth on his neck, that Dom would realize this was maybe something dangerous. And that realization wouldn't stop him from wanting it.

Or, ooh! Remus/Morpheus, from The Sandman. That would be coolass like nobody's business.

It's hard to get my brain to move past the Remus/Wes. And Remus/Viggo just might tempt me to break my non-RPS-reading stance. But let's see...

I think a little Remus/Mulder might be interesting, though I don't think it would ultimately work out. But it would be fun to explore.

I would love to read Remus/Mulder. I think Remus would be in charge. And it would be at least partly humorous, and Mulder would be mildly humiliated at some point. Umm...that's how it would happen in my head, anyway.

remus/mulder sounds interesting to me too though have only the mildest familiarity with that fandom. and yes, the wes has stuck in my brain too. i'm only just watching the first seasons of angel now (i came so late to the joss party, sad me) and every time i see wes, i'm thinking about it. mmm.

yes. i agree and i disagree. you know they're my otp. but sirius dies. and remus is still so young when he dies. and i love remus so much i can't let him just be mournful for the rest of his life. it took me a while to get here, but now i'm at a place where i want more possibilities for him. but sirius would always, always be a part of the equation in some way. the remus/bran i wanted to write was really all about remus dealing with sirius being gone. and they (remus and bran) didn't end up together in the end.

i have a much harder time with the idea that remus would have been with anyone (fling or no) while sirius was in azkaban. it seems unrealistic to claim that he wasn't... it was a looong time.

and also, any post-ootp remus pairing for me has to be crossover. i can't stand the idea of remus being with anyone sirius knew... especially snape - who would seem the obvious choice. so, all my thought on this have him going somewhere else, far away, and encountering someone from a completely different world.

Followed people here - so here are my picks:

Remus/Mark from RENT - they're both rather lost at times, yet different enough to make it work

Remus/Mikey (US QAF) - just putting two favourite characters together

Remus/RayK (from dueSouth) - because it would be of the hot.

And going into the obscure japanese anime here:

Remus/Roy Mustang from Full Metal Alchemist

Remus/Touma from Gravitation (even though he's married) and Remus/Ryuuchi from the same series, because Ryuuchi can be bouncy like Sirius was, but he obviously knows just as much about putting on masks as Remus does.

And on a final note, I agree that Remus/Dream is omgyes.

Wes at Hogwarts makes me drool, too, and I seriously would love any pairings between HP and Sandman characters.

I also saw a Remus/Tara story once, which isn't slash and actually it was gen, but it was beautiful, and it's a pairings I'd love to see (but some people would crucify me for making Tara not-exclusively-lesbian).
