the st. matthew's over. on the whole, it went extremely well.

on the partial, i want to kill an oboist. but. rachael says she didn't know things weren't going swimmingly from the audience. i have to believe her, i suppose.

i mean, most things did actually go swimmingly.

and, hi, i've had some gin and it's two in the morning. maybe i should just go to bed and deal with this post tomorrow. yes, probably.

i didn't actually take any of yesterday's pictures myself. i passed the camera off to rach and she did the work. this here is toward the beginning of the section i conducted. looks like 45a, the long recitative section. which is why most of the instrumentalists are just sitting around, waiting for something to do. and why i'm so still.

there are a bunch more pictures under the cut. and some music too. it's a multimedia post! woo.

st matthew passion. etc. )

in conclusion... YAY BACH!

so, frankly, i was tired of thinking about bach by this morning. and decided to let myself spend a while thinking about ray and fraser having sleepy morning sex instead. and then i wrote it down. and so now i have a little pwp to share.

This was different. There was no tension here. There was no drive toward release. Fraser had been dreaming of this, longing for it. )
