suddenly tom felton is the only one of the lot who can dress himself. rupert's get up has got to be my favorite, just for its utter bizarroness. and can that kid manage not to look entirely baked - just for one photo?

i feel drained and heavy and tired and... did i already say drained? not because of any great amount of activity, just because yesterday sucked so badly. the highlights of my day were the bunnying with [livejournal.com profile] starbuckle, the hour that [livejournal.com profile] camillafarfalla and [livejournal.com profile] mmm_cake were here before their choir rehearsal and the buffy and smallville reruns. such is my life. my presents from camilla are febulous - a smallville novel (ahahaha) and three smallville trading cards - lex, clark and lana. too fun. and i'd be giggling and prancing around about them if i weren't so down.

so, my plan for the day? shower. put clothes on. write e-mails to choral folks in western mass to ask for advice on working out there. a few more calls about string players for sunday. find a new trumpet player to harass as this one seems to be a dud. go to work. go to my parents house for taxes and dinner. it's a plan. ::schlep::
phineasjones: (fearless)
ugh. writing an e-mail that goes something like this: hello, you don't know me and i don't know you, but you know choirs in the area, will you help me find a job?

right.
phineasjones: (arbiter of niceness)
wow. look at me go. i just sent e-mails to the two choral folks i know at mhc and the one i don't know at umass. very bold move for me, ladies and gents. it's all part of the 'prove the therapist has no idea what she's talking about' ploy.

also, i rescind all negative comments made about the orchestral conductor i just worked with. he's going to play violin on sunday - for free - and has been super active helping me find other players. and just volunteered some extra cash from the orchestra budget in case we should need more to pay the players. he may be clueless about working with a choir, but he's my new hero regardless.

and damn, i still haven't finished my program notes. bleh.

and really, could you guys just be a little nastier, please? i really love this icon and you're all so nice lately i never get to use it.

heh. in the mail today, we got a gas bill, a loan statement and pleas for money from planned parenthood, the league of women voters and world watch - a magazine that claims to help one feel 'empowered to help change and heal the human condition...

what do they think we are? some kind of lesbian feminist commie pinkos? winks to [livejournal.com profile] ivyblossom

it's the glory of being broke that i will toss these things straight into the recycling bin without angsting over who should get my petty cash. though... heh. actually, we already give $5 a month to planned parenthood. a paltry sum, but we ain't got much. i do enjoy seeing which organizations purchase our name from various other lists. we recently got something from some seeing eye dog foundation. interesting.
