i've got everything i want and still i want more

suddenly tom felton is the only one of the lot who can dress himself. rupert's get up has got to be my favorite, just for its utter bizarroness. and can that kid manage not to look entirely baked - just for one photo?

i feel drained and heavy and tired and... did i already say drained? not because of any great amount of activity, just because yesterday sucked so badly. the highlights of my day were the bunnying with starbuckle, the hour that camillafarfalla and mmm_cake were here before their choir rehearsal and the buffy and smallville reruns. such is my life. my presents from camilla are febulous - a smallville novel (ahahaha) and three smallville trading cards - lex, clark and lana. too fun. and i'd be giggling and prancing around about them if i weren't so down.

so, my plan for the day? shower. put clothes on. write e-mails to choral folks in western mass to ask for advice on working out there. a few more calls about string players for sunday. find a new trumpet player to harass as this one seems to be a dud. go to work. go to my parents house for taxes and dinner. it's a plan. ::schlep::

Yeah, days like this when "shower" and "put clothes on" have to make it onto your to-do list so that later, at least there's a sense of accomplishment. Glad to see you've been mailing choirs and all tho... still time to make *this* a successful day.

yeah. of course, shower and put clothes on are frequently the last things i do. and i think this might be part of my problem. but now that i'm showered and dressed, i feel much better about the prospects for the rest of the day.

My challenge is largely, putting *real* clothes on. The type that can be worn around outside, doing errands in the world and acting like a person with purpose, rather than sweats and tanks that might as well be pajamas. I've decided that it does actually matter if I *feel* dressed, but who wants to wear jeans and go out in thie weather when you can be curled up on blankets in sweats drinking cocoa.

(all of this said, of course, while still wearing my towel from the shower two hours ago... So the cake craving may actually be a very positive motivating factor.)
