um. meow. the study is soooooooo close to being finished. i'm ready to return to normal life patterns please. normal, but better, of course, due to the gorgeousness of the study.

in other news, the stella kitten is in surgery today (having her 'girls' out, as starbuckle kept saying last night). poor thing. we can call them in another few hours to make sure things went ok but we can't pick her up til 5:30. kitty!

in still other news, my car now has a cd player!!!!!!! ::choirs of angels sing:: this is such a good thing. the first cd she played was this morning, on the way to the vet - bach's goldberg variations, intended to sooth stella's nerves. i can't wait to get my rotk soundtrack in there... tomorrow, for the drive east. ahhhhh.

the brave little toaster

kitty's doing well. she's very sleepy and keeps trying to lick her shaved belly. but well other than that. she is the most affectionate kitty ever. after we bring her in a box to a place where they drug her and cut her open and put her back in a box, she gets home and all she wants to do is cuddle with us. love!

i'm in a kind of ... state. what kind of state? hm. the study project was fine while it was within the allotted time frame. now that it's the end of the day after we were supposed to be done and there are still little bits of project left unfinished, i'm not in my happy place. i am sadly but powerfully attached to my own sense of order. i feel off kilter. but i don't know what to do about it.

you know what it is about rotk? ok, what one thing about it is... for me. it's emotionally addictive. the highs are so high, the lows so low and the angst so unbelievably powerful. everything else seems a bit mundane.
