Dec. 28th, 2003 07:31 ammy wee calendar tells me i haven't posted in four days. i think that's some kind of record. hope you all enjoyed the break. and now i'm back! muahahaha. er. something.
i'm not back for long, as i have to run off to church. the holiday whirlwind is losing steam though, settling down, and this is very good. i had a truly lovely christmas, surrounded by family and friends and showered by generosity. i will have details later. and now i'm immensely glad to be home, at our own apartment. where it's quiet and there's just me and rach and chloe and...
THE NEW KITTEN! i gave rach a kitten for christmas (not to worry, we'd already discussed the second kitty, this was not completely out of the blue). we adopted her on friday and she's an adorable, 12 week old, poofy ball of black fur. omg, sooooo cute. there will be picspam, no doubt. and her name will probably be idgy... idgie? however rach wants to spell it.
and now i have the urge to sit on the floor and draw a magic circle around myself through which no one can pass. just so i can be alone for a while. people at christmas were great, truly, but there were a lot of them and i need a break. i need to gather myself, get adjusted and organized and then i can face the world again. we have a new year starting this week and i am a huge fan of symbolic new beginnings, i hope to make something of this one.
so yes, i've missed you terribly, and have no idea how i'll catch up on 5 days of flist. feel free to point things out to me - things you've written or read or anything. and i'll be back, spamming away in no time. <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
oh, and, job application update: i was extremely nervous to receive a letter from job people but upon opening it, discovered that it was only an acknowledgement that they received my materials and a request to fill out a wee form for their diversity department or some such. whew. i was afeared that it would be a 'thanks but no thanks' letter. as i have seen enough of them in my past. so, small relief.
