i've decided to stay home for the morning and be productive and then go to work in the afternoon where i get paid for my time no matter how productive i actually am. logic, n'est-ce pas?

so far, i haven't really been much with the productivity though. i did type up and send that remix beta. ::pats self on back:: and i think next on my list will be the cover letter. then i can mail it today and i will feel very good about that.

my friend sent me pictures of his new baby. omg, the unbelievable cuteness!!! and yet another good thing about moving to the valley - baby! i haven't known a great many youngins in my life and now i'll be living near my friend's newborn. i'll get to see the earliest years in this little person's life! how exciting is that? and i can spread my heathen, lesbian, green party influence on the child in an attempt to counteract the conservative upbringing that awaits him. it's, like, a mission!

letter and resume in the mail!!! woot. i have no idea what my chances at a job like this are. i have the official requirements, but i'm youngish for a university teaching job, no? also, everyone on the planet with a masters and not a doctorate will be applying for this job bc it's so rare to have a university job that doesn't require a doctorate. but, what the hell, maybe i have a shot.

which item on the list now... hm. maybe call the landlord. then dishes. bleh. always dishes.

i just stabbed my thumb with a small, extremely sharp knife. the pain is very much out of proportion to the size of the cut. and now it's even more difficult to summon the will to go back to the dishes. ow.
