phineasjones: (hug!)
i feel the need to share the link to this bizarro-fest as now both [livejournal.com profile] constantine1453 and [livejournal.com profile] annelarissa have pointed it out. and it may, in fact, be the weirdest thing i've ever seen.

it's late and i'm tired. but the day did get better when i finally left the house. i filed. it was thrilling. and then i went to church. first i had a meeting with a person who's on a committee that deals with the minister. they're interviewing staff and members to see how we all think things are going (it's only the minister's third year there). i was very honest. she wasn't surprised. i'm not the first person to say the things i said. good.

i'm feeling sneakily proud of myself. things are busy for my choristers and a couple of them have decided to quit their local community chorus in favor of the church choir. woot, go me. sorry, community chorus guy. now give up and hand over your job, please. also, a guy from that chorus who doesn't go to our church came to rehearsal tonight. to check it out. even if he doesn't stay, it was nice having another tenor who could read. i have a tenor surplus right now. how bizarre is that? what church choir ever has too many tenors? what i really need now are some basses.

so. sirius/remus. i need me some. but, hey, i was going to check out azkaban's lair and it's gone. poof! where'd it go? where am i going to get me my achy-sweet fix? ::needs::

::giggle:: you are all so amusing this morning.

i'm getting married this afternoon. so i suppose a shower is in order. maybe i'll redo my nails too. hmm, and what should i wear?

it's a sad irony that there isn't much good sirius/remus out there. (now that i think about it more, i don't know exactly why that's ironic...*g*) it's really not fair. ::pout:: i mean, you want the h/d hyper-dramatic smut? you got it. there are so many that you have a decent chance of at least landing something mediocre. and there are a few out there, a precious rare, beautiful few that are damn good. damn good. s/r seems like a paring that should attract damn good writers.* doesn't it? so, where's the good stuff hiding? i bored myself silly reading some same-old-same-old fics on schnoogle last night. ho hum. give me something new and refreshing, won't you? i mean there's coeur de loupe... which is good for its detail and heavy remus pov if nothing else. but it veers off into other places in recent chapters and it looks like it'll be one of those never finished wips. thus - unsatisfying.

*i should stop my complaining right now because if a little fairy read this post and swooped down and said, go ahead phin, pick the two writers you would most like to see writing sirius/remus, i would think for a few seconds before coming up with cim and wax. thus i am a spoiled, impatient child and i should just hold my proverbial horses.

ok, i think [livejournal.com profile] camillafarfalla is right... it is william shatner singing. and leonard nimoy is lip-synching. making this the official weirdest thing EVER.
phineasjones: (fearless)
right. it's leonard nimoy doing the singing. from his album, the two sides of leonard nimoy. the first side of the album contains songs related to spock and the second side is, you know, nimoy songs. including the fabulous and increasingly famous ballad of bilbo baggins.

the disturbing part to me is not the freakishness of the whole endeavor but the fact that i can't. stop. watching. and singing the song as i walk around the house, drive judy to newton (she was singing it too) etc... it's like an accident on the side of the road. i can't look away!!!

oh shit, i still haven't decided what to wear for my wedding today.

that's right. we did the deed. [livejournal.com profile] mmm_cake and i are now officially registered as domestic partners. which means i can now partake of her health insurance - for a small fee. this is of the good.

did you know - you don't even need id to register! (providing you live in or near a city that will register you in the first place) right, no id, but we did have to raise our right hands and swear that the statement we signed was true.
us: yes
office lady: ok, cool.
direct quote.

we will be receiving a certificate and laminated cards in the mail soon. laminated cards. how fun. and it's lovely that this is taking place exactly one week before our 4 year anniversary. aw.

oh! and we brought a camera, of course. the blushing brides )
phineasjones: (hug!)
quick warning for the, like, 2 people who might care. if you see me on aim tonight, i'm not really there. sorry. doesn't mean i don't love and adore you. ::mwah::
