feelin groovy

i've decided to feel better today. just like that. trying out this mind-over-matter concept. i just have too much to do to be sleeping on the couch all day. again. yes. so. wow, do i feel wonderful!!!

first order of business - take my ass outside for a walk around. need to get some fresh air, even if it's frigid. and clear my head too. it's fuzzy in here.

meander

woo! walk accomplished. not too terribly cold, not once i covered most exposed parts of my skin. this neighborhood is so... interesting. most houses have only the tiniest bits of front yard. but in that tiny bit, they'll plant as many trees,shrubs,flowers as they can possibly fit. also shrines to the virgin. and plastic animals. and now christmas decorations. the guy who lives next door to us owns three houses on the street - the two next to us and one across the street. they are decked out. i'm thinking i'll go out there with my digital camera tonight when they're all lit up so i can share the christmas joy that is my street. my favorite part may very well be the array of light-up plastic disney characters on each mini front lawn. yes.

so. now. some tea to drive the chill away. some yoga. a hot shower. and then... lexington? hey, camillafarfalla? you too busy today? interested in a trip?

shit. it's almost 2? when did that happen? i was being so good. did my yoga, dropped monkey at the pool, showered, lunched... and then where did the time go? heh. yes. it's a little something we like to call slash.

lalala. now it's time to collect camillafarfalla and head to lexington. where they keep the music.

and it's very good to know that jenny's alive. because we have much h/r discussing to do. mmhmm. and h/r/f/g. ::devious grin:: also, i miss her. yes, the inner twosome of deskchair slash must reunite for a little plotting.

so. yeah. it was a fairly good day, today. great to see camillafarfalla and search for music together and sit and have coffee and chat fandom. if not for her to spill things to, i might very well have exploded by now. just burst. kablooey. but, thanks to camilla (and other lovely folks like starbuckle and harrimad_sol), i'm still in one piece. more or less.

coming to the conclusion that i should read dv already. just to know what everyone's all atwitter about.

rach is in the throes of writing her personal statement. ugh. i remember it only too well. i hated that thing with every fiber of my being. she's a much better writer than i am - i thought it would be easier for her. guess not. poor thing. i'm trying to be helpful but... it just has to be done and that's that. my poor lady.

oh god. why? why did i think that was a good idea? reading harry/ron in the potter slash archive. ugh. it's just... ugh. so bad!!!! one person actually misspelled the word 'much.' i kid you not. mutch. ohgodohgodohgod. my eyes hurt.

see? this only proves me right. the world needs good harry/ron. bc really, you can find good marcus/oliver, oliver/percy, ron/draco, weasleycest galore, harry/draco, harry/snape etc. but harry/ron?
