mrph. church staff meeting this morning. or! i could stay home and scratch my fingers over the chalk board! hmmm... i'll have to think about that one.
i had the active but quotidian day-in-the-life sort of dream and i woke up convinced i had just gone to bed. it always sucks - that moment when you realize it's time to get up.
but i'm finding i have a nice feeling of optimism hanging out with me lately. maybe it come from being gainfully employed - at least for the moment.
still in the midst of welcome to the real world. it's very strange to read h/d slash in which they take their time... don't drop to the floor and get busy at the first moment of contact. in that way, the story is mildly refreshing, even if i know she's just doing it to prolong a sense of angsty tension. i approve of that general goal. but there's a thing she does that bugs me; i'm reading along, it's shifting between harry and draco's povs and then, suddenly, it's no one's pov and it's that weird, passive, vague thing so many people fall into - mouths touched, hands roved yada yada. suddenly no one is making the actions, they are being made. and it's always strikingly different from the language just before. takes me completely out of the story. hate that.
