phineasjonesfirst, unrelated to the rest of this post - HAPPY BIRTHDAY GERARD WAY. really, i mean that with all my heart.
now. let's talk brendon.
these days, i spend about 50% of my thoughts on brendon urie and 50% on everything else. and i am not alone.![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
inkjunket made the clever connection the other day that brendon is like the sirius/remus of bandom. because there is SO MUCH in bandom that i love and am amused by and care about and that is meaningful to me. but brendon. he takes over my thoughts and i spend time, like, actively worrying and wondering about him ('thoughtful worrying,' as jjtaylor describes it). this is the first time this kind of thing has happened to me in a real person fandom and as such, it's a little confusing. am i thinking about brendon the character or brendon the person? i think it's kind of both.
i have things to do with my day so i can't really write the post about the things i think and worry about brendon. it has a lot to do with my belief that he is queer and how weird and hard that must be in the context of decaydance/fbr. and lately it has some to do with his relationship to the cab (hence brendon/cash) and to ryan and to his band. and... brendon!
and so now i feel the need to picspam. just some pics of brendon being brendon and brendon with his band. because...
ok hi, brendon, hi. you are a pretty boy even when you have stupid hair.
did i say pretty boy? i meant pretty disney princess, of course.
the problem with your haircut is that it emphasizes your oddly large head. but if you keep wearing pink eiffel tower pyjamas, i promise i won't complain too much.
that is. a very special face.
just look how bouncy he is. that's some impressive height.
i don't think there's anything i can say that will add to this picture in any way.
this is the picture that goes with every fic in which he ingests sugar and/or red bull. aw, and look at his smudgy make up. am i the only one who misses panic's make up?
um, so, this could be a picture about his love for zack. but instead it is a picture of his hips/bottom. CHRIST.

don't you want to just bundle him up? wrap him in some of ryan's scarves or something?
worst tattoo ever? did he and cash decide to start a horrible tattoo club? (this is the best i can do for a pic of cash's horrible tattoo at the mo'. i only just started caring about the cab and so don't have many pics. but you can just make out the green dollar sign on his hand. special.)
ok, this is quite clearly a manip. :) i would have posted the original pic if i had it. but sadly, i do not. i post it anyway because of the PANTS. i can look at picture after picture of brendon in super low-waisted skinny jeans and yawn. these nicely cut black pants, however... they are something else.
even better than pictures of brendon? pictures of brendon and other people! like, for example, jon walker:
(srsly, the days of make up, i miss them) jon and brendon are obvsly the cuddliest dudes in the band. which is awesome for people like me who like to see the cuddle each other.
or... whatever this is.
when i see this picture, i feel like the chick on the right in the tube top. yes, that's pretty much the face i make too. i mean. the face in the neck, the hand fisting in the shirt. there is nothing in this picture i do not love.

and when the cuddling ends, you can feed each other? ok.
and then there's ryan. i don't have all that many pictures of them bc ryan used to annoy me. but i can't help but have some. i see that most of my b/r pics are older. do they cuddle less these days? this would fit with the patd master narrative that exists in my head, but i do, occasionally, try to check in with reality.
brendon seems to have a particular thing for ryan's boobs (though that's a hilarious thought. not even a girl that skinny could actually have boobs).

but it's not only about the boobs.
this picture makes me hope everything is more ok between them than i really believe it is.
and this picture is clearly where christian siriano got the inspiration for his hair.
oh hey, look. it's more recent. and kind of cuddly. phew!
i'm appalled by how few pictures i have of bden and spencer. spencer is maybe less cuddly? oh, what a sad thought. if you have good spencer/brendon pics, please share! my life is poorer for the lack of them.
so maybe, it's not cuddling, but... he still plays with spencer's hair.

to me, this looks like a hug whose awesomeness is a result of brendon's force of will. spencer is powerless to resist! as would anyone be, i imagine. brendon's love, let him show you it.

until recently, i didn't really care about him or the group. i find some of their tunes catchy, but generally they're slightly to the pop side of my tastes. then i read some intensely good brendon/cash (http://disarm-d.livejournal.com/73697.html) and i had to look into it some more.
looking into it reminded me of some things i had known but not really thought about, like that it was jon and spencer who met some cabbies (fellow vegasites? vegasians?) at a show and ended up passing along their demo and stuff. which is why panic is in their video (http://youtube.com/watch?v=hBsXazw3AGM) and brendon likes to go on stage with them (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jM0UGCZ5kis) sometimes and stuff. brendon seems to be around them the most, for whatever reason (yes, of course i enjoy speculating on that one).
it also led to conclude that they are a.) obnoxious, awkward teenagers and b.) adorable.
cash is right in there with the obnoxious and the adorable. like, not how many of his pics appear to be self-taken, myspace-style.
yeah, their blog videos and in interviews, he seems most comfortable in front of the camera. most inclined to yammer, if you will.
he seems to <3 the clan gear as much as the rest of the label.
and has taste in tattoos that may even be worse than brendon's.
still, pretty cute, no?

I often say Spencer's smile rivals the sun shining through but Brendon's smile and goofy faces (and enthusiasm) feels like he could give the sun a run for its money. It's bright and totally unabashed. Oh Brendon.
