mmm... have been in bed for 3+ hours. listening to this american life, snoozing, etc. mmm. am now a pile of grog. but tal was fucking funny, yo. the kid who made the movies? and when his friends saw the coin and turned gay and ran around yelling 'roses!' in high-pitched voices? that was funny.

mm. so now, shower. shower that didn't happen this morning bc all of a sudden we were out of oil again. oops. but now we have more. but i felt all slimy at the church fair. where i got the nicest little praise from the reeeeeaally old guy in the choir who's never even singing off the right page. he told me their greatest fear is that i'll get a great job offer and leave them. aw. so sweet.

so, shower, here i come. rach is at the store bc she's become ridiculously inspired again and whipped up some deep crust pizza dough while i slept and is now out buying cornmeal. yes. i had no idea. i was half-sleep, half-daydreaming about papa doc/jimmy smith jr. and all of a sudden girl's ready to go out. ambition. ::yawn::

lol. you are on some special kind of crack today. i'm mean yesterday... or whatever. :)

seriously, we're already planning our thanskgiving menu. and it will feature some of rach's bread making - don't you worry. here's a question for you all though - to unturkey or not to unturkey? we've been thinking about trying to come up with some other main dish, but nothing seems quite right. what do you think?

yay bread! hmm. my two cents is that i absolutely loooooved the unturkey (especially the gravy!!) last year.. but then i just love anything i ever eat at your house, so i'm sure i would be pleased by any other ideas. as long as it went well with cranberry sauce. deep dish pizza? excellent with cranberry sauce, i'm sure.

cranberry sauce? really? huh. ok. it's looking like unturkey at this point... with a majority of veggie votes in favor. and we'll have lots of other fun veggie dishes on the side.

i bought some cranberry chutney at the church fair - does that count as sauce? or shall we do the traditional thing as well?

oh, don't worry about the cranberry sauce... i'm just goofing around. cranberry chutney most certainly would qualify. or i could get inspired and make my mom's cranberry-orange cranberry sauce, if there are other cranberry lovers.
