i love my school, have i mentioned? these are graduating seniors in the laurel parade. there was extra cheering for this bunch.

judy and emily as we were lining up for the laurel parade.

i thought it was an appropriate sign for me, since i am among that 81%

michelle, emily and belle being goofballs as we waited for the seniors to come through.

what would a laurel parade be without bagpipes?

i was surprised how mushy i got when the seniors came through. i was feeling all proud of these women i've never met and all full of love for the school and i remembered how i had teared up at this point when i was a senior, walking through a throng of alums who were all applauding us and... yeah. touching.

speaking of touching. the alumnae meeting thingamajig that happened after the parade was long and tedious and i have a nasty sunburn from sitting there so long. but! the old women who come back for reunion make me all weepy with joy. the woman in the blue is the sole representative at her 75th reunion! and the ones with the green on their hats are at their 70th. one of them spoke about her mother who had graduated 100 years ago. um. i love my school? i love my school.

and, you know. the campus is still the most gorgeous ever.
