i was early to my therapy appointment yesterday so i drove around for a few minutes. this was nearby. hi, boulder.
i like the therapist, debbie, so far. it was a pretty bland session, just catching her up and all. but i see good potential.
so, yesterday, i spent a lot of time pouring over the piece matt and i have to analyze for our post-tonal presentation. it's schoenberg and involves a lot of figuring out pitch-class sets. which look like this: 0134 or 26t. t is 10, because the two digits would be confusing. anyway, the point is that last night when i came home and was reading lj, i saw someone's fraser/ray/ray icon and its text; 0t3. and my brain, with no pause and no permission from me, started trying to figure out prime form and what other members of the set class would be and... it was seriously a minute before i could re-process and remember what 0t3 actually means. ::facepalm::
rach is home. yay! i am a much happier phin.
today i'll be giving a conducting lesson. a new guy in choir asked me to tutor him. he's in music ed and wants to focus on choral conducting but can't take the classes myrtle and ham teach because of his schedule. i'm excited. i do love teaching. and he seems like a nice guy. so. yay! teachteach.
