the book, which is actually fairly dry - it's just well-organized and to the point, is introduction to post-tonal theory by joseph straus. the first chapter, a review of basic concepts, was awesome. in that i think i grasped it all. but i wish i had those frickin answers!
the worst book ever, however, is the book i got for schenker. it reminds me of my horrible theory classes at bu. it's boring, rambly and pompous. i hate it. i'm never going to learn schenker omgi'mgoingtofail!!!
