yesterday i had a huge and (now i see) unrealistic list of things to do. so very few of them got done. which makes me all sorts of pissy.

but we have shelving in the bedroom, and that's pretty huge.

and i am going to go get a haircut now. i'm crossing my fingers. how could i let anyone cut my hair who is not katie??? but what choice do i have? this guy comes recommended by friend rachel. so, here's hoping.

and, since i have to run and can't stay here and yammer, i'll give you another picture instead. this is us on the top of some place... it think maybe it was called fall river pass? or something like that. it was REALLY high. so high that, though we only had to walk up a gently inclining path, we had to stop every 20 feet or so to catch out breath. the altitude made breathing hard, our limbs heavy... a true joy. also you should know about this picture: we brought those cups up because we thought it would be great to have this shot of gorgeous natural beauty with some starbucks in it. also, just as we were about to take the first version of this pic, laura twisted her ankle and fell and it was scary but she was a brave little toaster. that's her foot in the pic. and that's why were not looking quite as enthusiastic as we might have - we were worried for her and the trip down, which she managed, slowly and stoically. so, here's the pic - large bc i don't have a good photo editor on this computer yet and the last time i shrunk one, it looked like crap.

Caffeine is the best for altitude sickness. As such, I am way too familiar with Starbucks locations in the high country.
