hi, flist. missed you today. were i here, i would have said...

this drunk s/r fic by [livejournal.com profile] musesfool is just what the proverbial doctor proverbially ordered for me today. sweet, funny, first-time-y goodness.

omg the last chapter of trade! and i have yet to read it! can't wait to see how it all shakes down.

yeah, i guess that's it.

omg, i'm so frickin itchy. the nasty sunburn from last week has turned into a whole bunch of itching, peeling skin. wah.

[livejournal.com profile] annelarissa and i spent some time looking for duets at the smith library today (omg, we found the perfect bach duet) and i had a glimpse of my fast-approaching future. trying to find a specific cantata in the neue bach-ausgabe basically served to remind me that i used to know how to find these things. just two years ago. three years ago, i was in a class in which we spent half a semester just learning how to find things in the frickin library. and now... yep. gone. maybe i should wrap my head in some non-pourous material so these things would stop leaking out. or maybe it's already too late.

maybe one of the strangely high number of librarians on my flist should specialize in music. that way, when i'm frustrated by these things, i can just ask you. yes, i like that plan.

i was not expecting all the niceness. the closure between sun and jin, sawyer and jack... the cuteness between walt and shannon... etc. does this mean next week is all monster, all the time? that would be ok with me.

D, at whose house we watch lost these days, has a complicated and thorough theory. he thinks the island was used for nuclear testing. so the original inhabitants - not sure how 'original' he's talking - were all mutated or something and sterilized. so then danielle and her bunch show up, most of them get radiation sickness or something. the original inhabitants, now sterile but wanting to carry on, steal the baby. and so now they want more babies. oh, and something about them sending out the number to draw people to the island... not sure how that was supposed to work.

i don't know what i think of the whole thing, but it certainly could explain the hatch. and the suddenly very metalic-sounding monster/sercurity system. really, it was all falling into place for D's theory until the pirate ship thing. huh?
