i feel wrung dry. it's too hard for me to sum up the emotional impact of this morning for me to even bother trying.

instead, i'm just going to soothe myself tonight. i'm going to make a nice dinner and rachael and i are going to watch things on the tv. first we'll watch a test preview of a show that we were randomly selected to view. we don't know anything about it yet but tomorrow we'll get a call asking us our opinion. interesting. and then i think we'll watch ma vie en rose - a movie i loved when i saw it years ago and rach has never seen. just arrived from netflix. i remember it being heartwarming... i hope i'm not making that up because i could use some heartwarming right now.

Well, i argued in Inklings class today, which was fun because i've been so non-engaged in that class recently since i haven't been doing any of the reading.

And work was really slow this afternoon, so i not only finished all the homework i'd brought but i spent about an hour reading Firefly fanfic and then there was an end-of-semester party for the docents which i hung out with, keeping an ear out for the phone and eating lots of popcorn and chocolate chip cookies, and hung out with my friend Cate whom i rarely see.

And dinner included goofiness with some of my crazy first years (and my favorite crazy sophomore) and lots of naughty innuendo 'cause that's what we do.

I totally thought of you last night.

I'd been talking to my friend Cat about being queer and being straight and she's so straight and was saying how she has breasts so it would be weird if her partner has breasts 'cause she wants something different 'cause ya know she already has breasts and i was all "but breasts are yay, yay more breasts," which made me think of the quote of yours that's in antheia's profile.

Then later she kept saying "mmm, cake" and grabbing her boobs [if you didn't see my LJ, a woman she knew made cake in a boobies-shaped pan, so since Cat's a goof she's decided that cake=sex] and you were already on my mind from earlier, so i was reminded of your lady's LJ name and yeah, i just thought i'd share.

that is all hilarious. i can't believe anyone out there is like, 'i have breasts, so i already have all the breast experience i need.' i mean, come on! there is so much variety to be explored!

I got to sleep in an extra 2 hours! Trivial yet important to me at the time. And I had a good lesson with the student I tutor.

I found Ma Vie En Rose to be heartwarming, but it also made me cry more than I have ever cried in a theater. It hit some particular issues for me, mostly about parent/child relationships.

I hope it works for you, tonight. It sounds like you really need a quiet evening.
