just saw sin city

elijah wood is wee and spry and cute. and creepy.

clive owen is hot.

alexis bledel is rory gilmore.

i checked my watch 3 times.

i was going to say you couldn't pay me to see it again but upon consideration, if i could bring a flashlight and a good book and the money was good, i'd go.

alexis bledel is rory gilmore.

exactly what i thought. when she called her mom i thought, say hi to lorelai for me. i mean, i adore her as rory, but she didn't exactly transform herself for this role. one of the few disappointments for me. but elijah rocked, so yay!

yeah, i'm both of you on this one. and rory doesn't carry off being a prostitute very well.

yeah. it was like rory was acting the role, not alexis. sad. i wanted her to be good.

but it's true, elijah did rock.

i checked my watch at least 10 times. because i knew exactly how many minutes were in the movie.

i'm sorry you didn't like it much... it's one of those movies that i'm glad to have seen, even though the actual experience was less than delightful. yanno?

10 times! that's a lot. :) but i never check my watch in movies - if i do at all, it's a bad sign.

i don't know whether i'm glad to have seen it. i guess i can express an informed opinion now. but i didn't see pulp fiction and i've never really regretted that. at best, this movie has reaffirmed for me that i don't like violence or misogyny. not that i really need that confirmed, exactly... but i've heard so many people complain that lotr is too violent and then started to wonder whether i was becoming somehow desensitized. now i know the answer.

and really, i didn't just 'not like it much.' i detested and despised it.

:)
