orchestral maneuvers in the dark

wow, i have a lot of trouble spelling the word maneuver. i want it to be more french. [eta: bwah! i looked it up and my instincts were at least as correct as OMD's. orchestral manoeuvres in the dark! d'oh.]

so. this morning i have decided to end my stress and indecision over my birthday party.

::ahem::

it will be an 80s prom. it will be at my house. it will be saturday, march 26 at 8 pm.

everyone is invited, and i expect you to dress! my proms (yes, plural, i went to 4!) were in the early 90s, so if i can figure out what one would wear to an 80s prom, so can you! watch some pretty in pink, make a trip to the local thrift store, get yourself a crimping iron (actually, i have one if you want to borrow it). i'm turning 30 in 80s style, friends, and i need your help.

if you're too far away to come, you can still dress up and send a picture. :)

if you are coming from outside western mass and need some lodging, let me know. i can offer rides to the boston area at an ungodly hour the next morning (thank you, easter sunday).

Anyway the point of this comment was: I totally want to come to your party! I could try to dress up and send a picture, but I pretty much missed the 80s so I'm not sure what I could concoct to wear. I'll think about it...

Manoeuvre's correct for british english, that's how i spell it. i double checked with my brit-eng dictionary too. so spell it the way you like =)
