when annelarissa called earlier to see if the weather was giving me second thoughts about going to our rehearsals tonight, i looked at the roads, which were wet but clear, and said, "no problem!" there roads are no longer clear. the snow is accumulating. we have a class from 4:30-5:45 and a rehearsal from 7-9, both in the same place (mhc) a half hour from here. what should we do?

i'm about to turn 30 (as i seem to keep mentioning. hee.) i want to have a fun party! i'm having ideas (80s prom, roller skating, 80s roller skating prom...), but i have no plan yet. i think it will help me to lock down a date. i'm looking at the weekend after my birthday - the 25th or 26th. keep in mind that sunday the 27th is easter (which makes me slightly prefer times that don't go late into saturday night because of having church in the morning). so, here are my questions:

er, there's a pile-up/huge line of cars who can't get up the hill behind my house. one of the stuck-est ones is a big ol' electric blue pickup. with lightening bolts! eep.

you could have a masquerade ball! or prom, (prom! prom! prom!) and sell tickets (ask people to buy a ticket as a part of a present?) to help defray the cost of the venue-- and your dress, of course! or a huge dancing excursion- you could prolly hire a contra-dancing caller or a swing-dance teacher from paradise dance! or a geek!theme party: come as your favorite genre character! salon! slumber party! potluck! greek wedding! rent a U-haul and a dj and have a party on wheels! rollerskating! ooh, scavenger hunt!

omg why couldn't my stepsister's play have been last weekend when I originally thought it was?! Coming up twice in a month is one thing; coming up twice in three weeks seems extreme. But! Your leaning towards Easter weekend is good - sort of - bc I had wanted to come up for Easter anyway... and then I'd come up this weekend too, on Saturday night, I think, after this conference I'm going to on Sat. Hm. I think that's doable; how's that sound?

Ideas... big sushi-making fest! a phin costume party - everyone has to dress up like you (from any era) (ahaha!).

No, I likely wouldn't even get in until 11 or something - I have this conference here until about 5:30. Which makes the following weekend overall better for coming, but I really don't want to come two weekends in a row (and I had wanted to come for Easter anyway... I was just trying to figure out yesterday what nice thing I could do here for Easter, but it's always a little family holiday). omg too complicated (which is why I've been bugging you about it! *g*).
