i would like to read some fanfiction. but, as i have recently mentioned ::cough:: while not entirely sober ::cough::, i have not been attending to the flist as much as i would like to lately. and that's where i get my reading.

so. what's the best thing you've read - or written - lately? if you tell me, i'll give you big, wet kisses with lots of tongue.* **

we went to see kinsey this afternoon, after my family visited to celebrate mmm_cake's birthday. fascinating stuff. wow.

while trying to cover the living room windows in plastic, i managed to knock over and break a vase and then tip over a floor lamp so it fell against a wall and killed the light bulb. i am not feeling terribly coordinated.

*except no, because i'm not into lots of tongue.
**also, i have a girlfriend, so no again. but you get the enthusiasm of the gesture.

well i, for one, am looking very much forward to kinsey on dvd. because i was fascinated by the movie but i think it's kinsey and what he did that was fascinating more than the movie. you know? i mean, it was well-made but a fairly standard biopick. imo. the dialogue wasn't great. the acting was very good. but really, the story was the interesting part. so i want an extras-filled dvd, please, with lots of historical info and mini-documentaries. :)

but... the movie did have the kiss... about which i assume you know so i hope i'm not spoiling anything. and that makes it worth seeing whenever you can.

also, i feel your pain bc i never go to movies any more and it makes me sad. my gf and i don't have exactly the same taste. it only overlaps on occasion. like this one.

yeah, i do know about the kiss :) and my theory is by the time i can afford netflix everything like this that i missed this season will be out, and so yay. a dvd like that would be awesome - i hope it happens. also, i try to see everything laura linney is in because she's fabulous even in dreck like love actually.
