you may ask yourself, how did i get here?
Oct. 2nd, 2002 09:30 amif i had a macintosh apple, i would be slicing it, spreading peanut butter on it and eating it. but i don't have one.
that whole 'you are your own worst enemy' thing? truer than true in my case. which is why i can't stand to be around myself right now. unfortunately, i don't see any easy alternative. and it's all the more frustrating bc i tell myself off but then i agree with me about how annoying i am. i can't even get a good fight going.
i really look forward to seeing siena today. that's about it. who in her right mind could look forward to a visit to the registry of motor vehicles, after all? and that's the first item on today's list. and at the end of the day, we're going to see moonlight mile with my mom's partner. i haven't been particularly interested in this movie, but part of it was filmed on the street where i grew up - where my parents' live... and hey! i just watched the trailer, and not only is that our street in the beginning, but no one told me jake gyllenhaal's in this. oh, that makes it more interesting. and there's a scene in the trailer where he's standing by a bench on a hill... that's my bench where i used to go and cry every sunday after church four years ago when my life was a fucking mess. looks like this movie could make me cry too. alas.

See, everyone's being all depressingly introspective today and I just want to be SILLY. 'Course I'm all hopped up on pancakes right now, but I hope I never ever come down.

Date: 2002-10-02 12:11 pm (UTC)Really? Cool! I already wanted to see this (read a good review in Salon, and I love Jake Gyllenhaal and Susan Sarandon, and usually Dustin Hoffman too), but that just makes me even more excited about it. I hope you like it.
Also, {{{hugs}}} for the mood you're in; how well I know how you feel!
