the good: t'ai chi class. it was just me and brian the probably gay massage therapist in the class tonight. lots of personal attention and all that. we learned 'jade lady throws shuttle' and 'brush knee twist step' - the least poetically named of all the motions we've learned thus far. but also the most difficult to coordinate. i must say, watching gihoon move is just fascinating. he's one of the most graceful people i've ever seen. also, because i'm me, i spend some time contemplating his sexuality. and i just have no idea. he has the cutest little mince-y step when he walks. but that's not really enough to go on. well. anyway. something to occupy my mind while my body learns the steps. which is what is supposed to be happening, he says. well, except that he says my mind should be blank, not contemplating his sex life.

the bad: i don't know what happened but my tape of tonight's lost is unwatchable. it's a mess. wah!!!! dom!!!! ::cries::

the pretty: i spent my afternoon with claire. we went to the bookmill. the drive there was gorgeous. the foliage right now is absolutely stunning. we passed a pumpkin patch that almost made us cry, it was so beautiful. and then we had some coffee in the cafe (claire's money was mysteriously absent from her wallet but a lovely young man gave us $.50 so we would not be without coffee) and went for a walk by the river. such a beautiful day. ::happy autumnal sigh::
