just back from the store. i am now in possession of more tissues, throat drops, zinc lozenges and more tea. make me better, stuff! because this cold thing is no fun at all. not at all. wah.
briefly, before i go flop onto the couch and moan for a while, yesterday was really wonderful. the audience was much more energized (my theory is that saturday had a lot of subscription series people and sunday was mostly just fans) and so were all the performers. i had more voice (ironically, since i was feeling worse), the orchestra pulled out all the stops. it really felt great.
and
starbuckle,
wildgreentide,
camillafarfalla,
annelarissa,
scottxwl, my mom, dad, and E were in the audience. in a beautiful display of co-geekiness, i sent jenny the translations of the texts for camilla to have during the performance and camilla took notes on them for me about the images on the screen since i couldn't see it. afterward, we (minus anney and scott) had a lovely dinner in hartford (hopefully not made too much less lovely by my constant sneezing) and made our various ways home.
and that's that. it's all over. wah. it's actually sad now that we've had the good part - and not just the stupid rehearsals. and i am very, very glad i got to do this. despite certain disappointments - annoying people and lack of howard shore. alastair willis was fantastic, so that was a little unexpected bonus.
eta: i have just discovered that if you blow your nose loudly at jehovah's witnesses, they'll apologize for bothering you and go away. score.

why don't you sing now? there is singing in the valley. singing is good. especially when not singing makes for sadness.
