i don't know who it was who repeatedly told me during my childhood that oatmeal "sticks to the ribs," but i can't eat oatmeal without that visual. hmm. ::pokes ribs::

novembersnow. harry/ron/hermione. warning: dubious consent. or, really, less than dubious. this was uncomfortable reading for me but i couldn't look away. because it's also extremely hot and captivating. as i rule, i don't read non-con. this is probably the very closest i would get.
more to come. but now it is time for me to, once again, get in the car. whee? tonight is the first LotR rehearsal with orchestra. whee! that is exciting. ::bounce bounce:: i listened to the TTT soundtrack in the car yesterday and was struck by how long it's been since i've seen the movie or listened to the music. i was having trouble associating a lot of it with specific scenes. and there's a whole lot of choral stuff on that soundtrack that doesn't make it to the symphony. but one of the parts we do sing is the part with the text:
hwaer com helm? hwaer cwom byrne?
hwaer cwom feax flowende?
hwaer cwom hand on hearpestrenge?
hwaer cwom scir fyr scinende?
(where is the helm and the hauberk, and the bright hair flowing? where is the hand on the harp string, and the red fire glowing?) and ah, how i love it.
with these new highlights i have, occasionally a curl will fall in front of my eyes and i will just see almost-blond hair. so weird.

Where is the horn that was blowing?
Oh, that poem always makes me feel like I'm floating away into the mist.
Good luck with rehearsals and your performances. I'm sad I won't be there to see it, but a family obligation is stealing me away to another state.
