today sucked.  let's not talk about it.

let's talk about you.  due to a recent surge in the friending of this journal and my silly busy-ness of late, i feel like i don't know who half of you all are.  and that's sad.  so.  tell me some things?  this is aimed at new friends, but all are encouraged to answer.  and if this vaguely resembles something anniesj recently did, well... pure coincidence.  ;)

earthmoon. really. I've been going by earthmoon or em so long that when I meet online friends IRL....they just call me earthmoon.

Well, I came to the online world via very alternative parenting (my LJ will tell more about that) and developed a very close group of friends (most of whom I've gotten to meet & play with IRL :D).

Then got into Andromeda, and wrote some Andromeda ff with Zionsstarfish (http://www.livejournal.com/users/zionsstarfish) Starfishy eventually dragged me kicking and screaming into the world of HP ff :D I love ff, I just don't have much interest in reading about sex (I'm bi, so its not about phobia :P). So I search out really plot driven stories and pretend I'm finally FINALLY getting to read Book VI!!!

I've recently discovered Firefly (http://versaphile.com/download/firefly.html) and become a total junkie. Everyone must be converted. I don't read Firefly ff, though. It stands alone - its that strong IMNSHO :D

I read your posts on Zion's flist, saw your emotion theme was Firefly & your quotes were Ani Di Franco & had to friend you :P

I'm a writer. Poetry forever, parenting advice and inforomation on abuse recovery, fiction pretty recently (and only well with a co-author. writing=spiffy plotting=?) I'm primarily a singer. Been singing since forever. Terribly jealous of your LOTR choir experience! Lyric soprano, fyi :P

Like, gag me with a spoon, I would SO never be caught dead at an 80's night! Hated them when they were here - don't wanna revisit!

yeah, same here. actually, i find that about all the joss shows. i adore them and love to talk about them and watch them over and over but i don't really get into the fic. i've read some - buffy/faith, angel/lindsey, wes/gunn, simon/jayne - but it's not what draws me in. the shows do that one their own.

i appreciate this view while i don't share it at all. i tend to skim the worldbuilding to get to the romantic bits faster. :) and i am diehard when it comes to my otps. hee.
