last night while i was out, woman from the hartford chorale called. she wanted to just check on whether i would be joining them for the lotr performance. ahahahah. heh. ahahahaha. ::takes deep breath and plans something non-insane to say. like, 'i think it sounds like fun'::

linnpuzzle. i'm glad she posted to
shacking_up because i'd never seen her stuff before and damn, she's good.
so. in the morning yesterday, E told me that boss guy had offered my job to someone and she just had to give two weeks notice and i'd be out of there. sooner, if she could manage it. ahh, thought i. and then, hours later, the woman called and said she changed her mind, she didn't want the job. pooh. so now there will be more interviews next week. ::sigh:: this meant there were also fun times when boss guy came out of his office to make fun of resumes he'd received and everyone laughed and i contemplated the logistics of vaulting over my low cubicle wall and strangling him. i think now cranky santa may be my favorite person there. he at least seems to understand that this is not a desirable job for people who enjoy such pastimes as thought. but he's still an asshole.
rachael called my outfit yesterday 'sexy secretary.' but i was thinking more 'naughty librarian.' but to pull either off, the shirt would have had to be much tighter, with probably a wonder bra underneath, and i should have worn my glasses and some really shiny lipstick. but i was in the spirit anyway.
i'm so tired. i seriously contemplated just not getting up this morning. life be damned. as you can see, there weren't many convincing arguments in my head for doing that. alas.
last night we went to haymarket (and saw
soulstorage there) with amanda and played speed scrabble. is a fun game.
but i have speedy beta i need to be doing and i kept thinking about that while i was there. it would be hard to explain to an lj-muggle that the most pressing thing on my mind is editing a piece of fanfiction because it has a fast-approaching challenge deadline. i mean, really. which part would sound silliest?
ok, if i don't stop now, i'll probably just keep yammering until it's work time. and so. i stop.
