i'm so cold right now. it's awesome.* hominidj is visiting and joined us on our trip to the farm this afternoon. and then had dinner (with fresh pesto, mmm) here and hung out. so good to see him.

and i wrote sirius/remus today and i can't tell you how happy that makes me. even though at the time it was making me cry. there was i, alone at my desk, writing and getting weepy over my very own thoughts. that's the picture of coolness, right there. but i don't care because this is the first piece of s/r i've written in so long that hasn't ended up languishing in wipland. of course, it's not even 500 words. but whatever, that's exactly how much i had to say about that.

i also cruised around on torn and found some reports of a woman in the philadelphia chorus that's singing the lotr symphony. i got so excited about hearing which bits are in it and which languages they're singing, i almost peed my pants. i am such a geek. a happy, happy geek.

*this is my new old favorite word. but it belongs in italics because of the way it must be said to invoke the proper feeling of irony. "omg, that's awesome." oh, so satisfying. possibly this is a language trend i picked up from starbuckle, along with many others.

Because of that weird shape in the background, this icon looks to me like Pippin and Aragorn are exchanging a spatula. :)

the spatula part isn't as odd to me as the pippin and aragorn part. since it is, in fact, merry and theoden. but you're right, it looks rather spatula-esque. hee.
