so. i went to boston yesterday. my girl was helping out with and attending the boston social forum and i picked her up and we spent a pleasant night at
powerfulkatrina's and went back to the bsf this morning. and then we got to come home. we were both so sleepy on the drive back that when we stopped at a rest stop, we both just nodded off in the car for about 15 minutes. the drive was much better after that.
tonight i attempted to make nasu shigi like my favorite noho japanese restaurant does. the miso sauce was quite a success but i don't have the eggplant cooking technique down. how do they get it so soft and creamy? hmm. still, was tasty. also,
annelarissa and
scottxwl came over to watch haiku tunnel. damn, that movie gets funnier every time i see it. it should be required viewing for any temp or office worker. just so funny. ::sigh::
speaking of... i can't believe i have to go back to that office tomorrow. haven't i done my time yet? of course, really i'm of two minds about that. the paycheck is mighty nice. but i need to be looking for a real job and that's even harder to do when all my good hours and energy go to the crap job. oy. fortunately, i have many many slashy projects to entertain me during the boring hours. and boss guy is interviewing people for my position, which provides a light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.
