11. hermione thought she could taste a faint trace of harry on ron's skin. what had they been up to before they invited her to join in?

1. late one july night, ron and harry kissed. when hermione asked how it was, ron said "wet" but harry said "tingly." they were both right.
2. hermione couldn't believe it: they'd kissed without her. it wasn't that she wanted to be involved, but watching? yes, that was the disappointment.
3. as harry pulled ron along, trying to sneak away for a snog, he could feel hermione's eyes on him. he grinned. "c'mon hermione, we want you, too."
4. hermione hung back, uncertain. did harry mean they wanted to kiss her, too? she still thought maybe watching would be good, but...? "ok."
5. it was wet. and tingly. as harry licked along her neck underneath her ear and ron slid his hands around her waist, hermione gasped. "yes."
6. it was easy, hermione thought, to let them keep touching her but she knew she was supposed to be watching. she wanted to watch. she made them stop.
7. breathless, harry moved back. hermione had said "stop," so of course he had stopped. but why had she stopped him? her eyes still burned with want!
8. hermione made a vague flailing motion with her hands, which ron — miraculously — correctly interpreted to mean "please snog harry," so he did.
9. harry's breath caught somewhere in his chest as ron bit down on harry's lower lip. he heard hermione make a noise that sounded like "meep."
10. ron, his tongue in harry's mouth, reached out for hermione. he nearly broke his kiss with harry when he felt hermione's lips on his neck.
11. hermione thought she could taste a faint trace of harry on ron's skin. what had they been up to before they invited her to join in?

also, non-challenge text from [livejournal.com profile] camillafarfalla that practically induced tears of joy:

Bernard licks his lips. 'Do be a dear and pass me that chocolate, won't you, Viggo?'

man, i'm tired. and my house is a mess. i was going to clean up last night but... it didn't happen. woe is the working phin.

junior (boss's son) did indeed sit with me all morning. he's a nice kid (and may actually be fairly close to my age, i'm not sure) so it wasn't so bad. there was a nice moment when his father came out and asked some completely stupid question about the printer (really, people, if i'm more tech-savvy than you are, you're in trouble) and junior and i giggled and boss!guy looked over at us with a mildly troubled expression. hee. (i interpreted it as, don't get to cozy with the help, son. or something like that.) anyway, junior also has this tendency to stand rather close to people. for some reason, maybe his general cuteness, it's not as disturbing as it can sometimes be. i figured at first it was because we were trapped in my little desk cubicle but then i noticed he does it all the time - with his dad, with random people who come in. and so there was one very fine moment when a guy approximately junior's age and not bad looking came in. and junior felt compelled to lean in and speak quietly to him about something. and... i was a happy slasher, that's all i have to say.

junior is also blown away by the volume of text messaging i receive daily. hahaha. i will keep up the mystery about that one. dad doesn't need to know about my slash habits. nuh uh.

crap, look at the freakin time. i need to iron my pants and put on my face and all that stuff. ::weary sigh:: i hate this job. and yet i like the paycheck. they are definitely advertising the position in earnest now. many resumes coming in and a couple interviews. so i doubt i'll be there much longer. which is good and bad, of course.

oh, and i forgot to mention that yesterday was particularly crappy because i found out i sent out two checks on friday without signing them. one of the recipients, a nice old man in florida, called to tell me this. and so there was a whole process of canceling and calling the other people and overnighting new checks. and i just felt stupid. i hate that.
