my mom is the queen of ebay. she found the pen. i have searched long and hard for this pen and never found it. but she - not even having lived with it for 8 years like myself - managed to find the exact one:

starbuckle's game was indeed cancelled, due to the wetness of the field after our crazy afternoon thunderstorm. so instead, she and camillafarfalla and annelarissa and scottxwl and mmm_cake and i had ourselves a cookout. there was much good food and outside-ness and beer. good, summery times. and after the eating, jenny, scott and i played catch/soccer/kickball/thingy in the street. so much fun. ::happy sigh::

oh, and then camilla settled the questions of whose breasts are larger - mine or jenny's. no, not by looking, sillies! by feeling, of course. jenny won. which surprised us both. hm.

tomorrow we have to leave here at an ungodly hour so rach can get to work in boston by 9. ugh. so i'd better get to bed. later, lovelies.

I miss my fountain pens. (I had the cheap-o plastic kind when I was a poor student in France.)

ooh, and they're selling a slightly cheaper version of this pen on ebay too - the waterman graduate. the non-silvery ones are cheap - for nice pens. the key for me is the fine nib.

and hey, even the cheapo plastic kind beats a ballpoint.

I'm a little afeared to spend a lot without trying it first ... I really can't handle a very heavy pen.
