on a more pleasant note, last night i had a most amusing interaction with the church organist, G. he's 70-something (i can only guess his age by the fact that he's been the organist there for 50 years). i was packing up my stuff after rehearsal and he saw my angel dvd box.

G (pointing to box): do you like that show?
me: yes. [i did not give the sarcastic answer i could have - no, i hate it, i just thought i'd watch the whole season on dvd.]
G: i see it sometimes on tnt.
random other person: what's that show about?
G: he's a good vampire.
me: ::tries not to laugh out loud::
-then we chat a bit, i mention that i got into it bc it's a spin off of buffy
G: oh, is it really? she's been on this show too, hasn't she?
[which, yes, reveals that he watches enough to know who buffy is. which just tickles me pink.]

perhaps that story is only entertaining if you know G. i was quite amused. also, he told me when and on what station i could catch the reruns. meaning that he knew that off the top of his head.
