i don't know, man, i don't know.
i frequently contemplate the possibility that i may have a very mild anxiety disorder. but that's as far as that ever gets.
i managed to do some useful things with myself yesterday in the time freed up by lack of concert. and then i did fun things too. went over to
starbuckle and
annelarissa's where
scottxwl and
camillafarfalla were too. we hung. we watched camilla's tape of lotr-related tv spots. we went out, with
mmm_cake, for a delicious japanese food dinner and then over to mount holyoke for the christmas vespers concert. which was lovely.* and then back to jenny and anney's for some more hobbit time. yay. see, good day.
so BACK OFF, stress!
i've seen many many many of these concerts over the years and i'd rank this one somewhere in the middle. certainly not bad - i've seen bad and i've seen boring. but a bit lackluster. the bell choir kicked ass for possibly the first time ever. go them. the jazz choir performed well but felt out of place. the concert choir sounded a little wimpy. and the selections in general were... eh. good, but not what they could have been. so. i loved it. i loved being there. the alum in me was deliriously happy. the choral critic somewhat less so. but they balanced each other nicely.
