eee! macintoshes. mmm. i took this picture last fall when rach and i spent some lovely time at an orchard. i love how macs have a sort of bluish tinge to them - especially when they're cold and wet as in this pic. mmmm love me some apples.

oh my, this is a gorgeous day. and it turns out that it's mountain day at my alma mater. that is the beautiful early fall day when the president of the school rings the bell and declares there will be no classes for the day and everyone should go climb the mountain. isn't that cute?

Hi! You don't know me, but I was tooling around friendsfriends list and saw you mention mountain day. I have no idea if this is a common event among schools near mountains or not, but a very good friend of mine went to a small women's college in southwest Virginia and they had a day like that every year. I think (*think* mind you) that the mountain was Trinkle Mountain. Or maybe they had a Trinkle Hall and I'm getting it confused. In any case, is that by any chance familiar to you? I'm just curious, because I've heard so many stories from her about those days and how much she loved them.

(And if so, it just confirms my theory that the world is really the size of the head of a pin.)

Ha! Yes, that is very interesting. Maybe it's a college near a mountain thing. Everybody needs a reason to get out of class once in a while, after all. Thanks!

Yeah, MHC. Wow, I'm totally shocked, though I guess I shouldn't be. You are in the Valley, and it's a small world...wow. I'm stunned.

How can I send you my email address without posting it in LJ and revealing my (or your) secret identity?
