morning ramble

mmmm... groggy. i made the decision today that i need to stop waking up on other people's schedules. i used to be a morning person. i liked being a morning person. but when rach wakes me up in time to have breakfast with her before she goes to work and i stumble into the kitchen... that's not what being a morning person is about. it's about what i used to do - waking at ungodly hours so i could write in my journal and drink my coffee in the early morning quiet and then go about my day with the peace of mind that ritual produced. so, decision is that i will decide when i get up now and what i do when i do.

where, oh where have my little boys gone? oh where, oh where can they be? ha! hominidj has a new color scheme and the background is... beige! lol. no one knows why i think this is funny. just trust me. ha.

we watched too many hours of the real world marathon last night. what the hell is it about that show that sucks me in the way it does. i missed a big gaping hole in the middle though - what happened to justin? anyone? and wasn't it funny the way mtv made it look like colin and matt were going to hook up? and then they dropped it completely. alas.

we also watched some life of brian. too fucking funny.

and now... rach wants to make big plans for the day. a beach or something. ok by me. i just want to persuade her toward a lake or a pond instead of the ocean... around here the ocean's unreasonable cold, dirty and smelly. even on the nicer beaches. we shall see...

not have i changed my color scheme, but i've also been messing around with style sheets. unfortunately there are some bugs in the system, so i've decided to do everything that i was going to do with style sheets with transforms instead. that's sort of annoying because it's just not as cool, but oh well.
