that thing with the guy getting fired from the navy bc he violated 'don't ask don't tell' by going on boy meets boy? (story here) i feel for the guy whose life it is but in a way, i'm almost glad it happened. if it gets any amount of publicity, it could contrast well with all the 'woohoo gay shows on cable, everyone loves the gays now, what are they complaining about?' sort of feelings going around. something a little closer to reality than the reality shows.

it's a project-y day, i can feel it. rach has already started practicing embossing velvet. it's also a gorgeous day and should involve much outside-ness. which should happen very soon bc damn, look at the time. i think i shall shower and dress and we'll walk into town for the farmers market. veggies!

i was super productive at work yesterday. astounding. but now i'm getting that 'september is coming' feeling. church will start a week from thursday... eek. time to get in gear and all. i have to say, i'm a big fan of this time of year. new beginnings and all.
