omg, what the hell is my problem? i have one thing i really need to do... that i needed to do yesterday really. and despite the fact that it is neither difficult or unpleasant, i have yet to do it. i have not procrastinated quite this badly in... oh, say... a couple months. but asdlkfidj i'm driving myself crazy.

i'll be going into boston to work today. zzzzzzzz. and then home. which i miss rather desperately after only two days. noho will do that to ya. yeah.

isn't it funny how fic writers whose work you really love will sometimes rec things you really don't love? i feel like i have this experience frequently. someone who writes beautifully will rec something that's just awful, imo. i don't get that... lower standards for everyone but oneself, i suppose. i can't do that... well, i do in other things. but when it comes to writing, i do what i can and want only the best from everyone else. aren't you comforted to know that?

right, and now, the task at hand.

I totally agree with you about authors and recs. There are some crazy and brilliant authors who recommend the strangest and most pointless things, and some authors who write the most beautiful ficlets recommend the most tedious epics. Doing what you can and expecting only the best form everyone else sounds like a good policy.
