it's all... quiet here. :( starbuckle and annelarissa left yesterday morning to make their longass trek back to the midwest. we'll all miss them terribly. but not for long! wheee!!! they'll be back in a month! to live! how amazing is this? and that means we'll have quite the crew of slashers out here in the valley. jenny, anney, me, fuschia, pritchkate, harrimad_sol (when she's not in ohio), camillafarfalla (when she's not in new york) just to begin with. i know there are many more out there. just a question of how to find them. hmm... a community?

also, i envision a fall nehp gathering out this way. wouldn't that be lovely?

ok. well. i can't really squee enough about starbuckle and annelarissa's visit. they are so wonderful. ::sigh:: i loved everything we did - singing with anney, talking with jenny, riding rollercoasters, lazing around, watching buffy... heehee teaching jenny to salsa at the noho food festival. such good times.

last night, rach and i watched the business of fancydancing and the devil's playground. the first was beautiful and unusual... inconsistent acting but so completely different from anything i've seen lately that i didn't really mind. great music too. the second was a documentary... could have been better but was still very interesting. it left me with too many questions at the end and sort of went off in an odd direction. but really, i never knew how naughty amish kids are.

and today, rach's mother and sister are visiting. must clean up house. um, like, now. heh.

I'm glad they found a place! I'm all excited about the slashy possibilities of it all, too...I feel like such a hermit lately with the damn dissertation biting me in an unpleasant place. One more week of hell...

I do like you guys, though, and would like to hang out, though must admit I can be a little shy about asking folks to do stuff (too much of a Luna Lovegood sort of reception back in school, I fear). So, with radishes dangling in my ears, let me say: I do want to see you! *g*

i would love to hang out too. when is your committee thing? (i.e. when are you relatively available?)

and please don't be shy! i've had great times with you and would be thrilled to see you some more. and you know, i like radishes.
