where did the allergy attack come from? i ask you. meh. ::sneeze!::

for all my crankiness, yesterday was quite lovely. picnic with rachael. met up with rachel. bought some good sandals. went to mt. auburn cemetery and exchanged europe photos. it's funny, all my pictures are of things and places and a bunch of rachel and siena... but only one or two have me in them. but she had tons of pics of me... and it was weird, and fun, to see me in these pics i've been looking at for weeks. now i can put the france n' italy album together.

we made dinner together, the three of us, and then rachel and i watched a room with a view while rachael went to a meeting. i can't imagine i will ever stop adoring that movie. ::sigh:: the bathing scene! yeah. and rachel liked it, fortunately, so i didn't have to kick her ass out of my house or anything. we also listened to the peter pan snippet from this american life before she left - as her experience with children's theater made it particularly funny.

the highlight of my week (along with the noho visit and buffy) must be that [livejournal.com profile] harrimad_sol read, and liked, some h/d slash. impossibly exciting. even if she were never to read another story... the fact that she was excited about one is amazing. heh. i mentioned this to rach over breakfast and she offered to hang out with [livejournal.com profile] hominidj if he gets lonely. *g*

but i've developed a harry/draco problem. it don't know why it's just h/d... the general fanfiction issue of reading the same characters over and over in different characterizations and plots hasn't bothered me before now. but i get my harrys and dracos confused. and, now that i've read all of ivy blossom's massive fic i can't believe any other draco. hers was too good and too thorough... but i want to read more harry/draco. so what do i do? has anyone else had this problem?

::ahchoo!::

noho... massachussetts? because i have an unhealthy love for that town and its music scene. (if it's not noho, MA, just ignore me.)

that's one of my favourite paul simon songs.

so i learned to play some lead guitar, i was underaged in this funky bar, and i stepped outside to smoke myself a jay

weeee.

absolutely noho, MA. yes, once home of dar williams, the nields, the iron horse, etc.
i maintain that any love for that town is healthy. my favorite of all places. have you been there? much? you know, it's just 8 hours or so from philly. :)

oh yah, been there. saw moxy fruvous at the iron horse a couple of times, with appearances by katrina and nerissa nields, and dar. and john greene from yeP!. i love that club so much i have the t-shirt. i had it on once at the somerville theater in boston and all the music geeks were grinning at my chest.

also stopped in noho during a roadtrip only to have brunch at sylvester's. i had my first sushi experience there, too, with this russian who won't speak to me now. um.

so yes. if i absolutely had to move to the US, noho would get my ass.

Heya Phin-

I had that problem, too. So I just kinda moved on to another pairing, at least for a while. It doesn't help that I found this (http://remembrall.slashcity.net/~telanu/plank/katandtzigane-preciousillusions.html) awsome story. I think it took me a grand total of 7 hours to read, which I needed, because yeah. mom. hospital. not fun.

warning you- it's ss/hp , but it's remarkably believable, and it talks about psyhcological issues and it's got SAD!snape and SAD!harry. and up. yeah.

I LOVE that Peter Pan story. One of the funniest things I ever heard on This American Life.
