hm. somehow, i forgot that not having breakfast food on friday would mean we still don't have breakfast food today. ::chews on fingers::
friday night,
mmm_cake and i made our merry way to noho (no traffic! yay route 2!). we were greeted by a happy
scottxwl and
harrimad_sol - she was more than happy actually... one might say a little on the drunken, silly side. we had a loverly lasagna dinner. mmm. and we had chatting and me reccing fics to harri, like, every 2 minutes and giggling and the watching of a season 2 angel ep.
and then rach and i slept up in harri's loft - which was very nice, but apparently by fear of heights took over in the middle of the night bc in order to stay clear of the edge of the loft, i seem to have moved into the very center of the bed while sleeping. heh. oops.
and then saturday morning was a combo of good and bad - good was making breakfast and hanging with the kids some more. bad was all our apartment-viewing appointments being cancelled and no new listings in the paper. but then! a call back from someone i had left a message with and a time to view 2 more places! the first was nasty but the second... is ours! wheee!!!
of the less than good: there is no dishwasher. it's a 2 bedroom and those rooms are quite small. children live in the apartment downstairs. there is carpeting (new, at least) in the bedrooms. no washer-dryer hookup. not much closet space.
of the very good: the living room area is very large and beautiful - with wood floors and wood molding and tons of windows. it's across the street from the cemetery (whee! buffy games!). it's a 1/2 mile from scott and harri's - and downtown. large kitchen with counters and tons of cabinets and a newish gas stove. a little side porch all for us! 2nd floor. tons of light. nice (dyke-y) landlord. a good-sized back yard. gas heat. chloe is welcome! we can paint!
and shit! i have to get in the shower and get my butt to work! ::runs::
