phineasjonesfeeling a bit like a useless member of society today. like i'm just not towing the line. i left rach's umbrella in the car. now she'll get wet walking to the bus. and... well, i know that wasn't the only thing. see? i can't even remember why i'm a useless member of society. except that i can't figure out what to eat for breakfast. so i just keep sitting here at the table, pondering.
gr. it's not even 9 am and the minister has managed to piss me off again. that women has some major talent in that area, let me tell you.
a fun thing about choir is this one bass who always comes rehearsal early (i <3 people like that) and we sit and chat about lotr and other shared geeky interests. this has been fun for a while but what i didn't know was that he was considered difficult to get along with by the old choir director. haha. not at all! dude. we get along so well. geeks unite! he even dedicated a choral arrangement to me. heehee.
but i was feeling the love in general last night. the president of the board of the church is a tenor in the choir and he came up to tell me that they had voted for the budget at the annual meeting and my travel money had been discussed and approved. he put his hand on my arm and looked in my face and said, 'i have no idea why you're willing to do this but we love you.' and i was kind of awkward but happy but i was thinking, dude, you just answered your own question.

Date: 2003-05-23 07:11 am (UTC)and i recommend tea and toast for breakfast, because that's my favorite, and involves only small amounts of decision making early in the morning: margarine, hummus, or tofutti cream cheese on the toast? of course, with that kind of breakfast, i have to eat again about an hour later, but it's just right to start with. but this advice is probably coming too late, as it's now 10:15. oh pooh.
