ow ow ow. die cramps, die.

so. i was incredibly moved by buffy last night. the buffy character developments above all - as has been the case in recent episodes like never before. she's annoyed me in the past - her constant whining and insecurity. but i feel like, along with faith and the rest of the viewing audience, i finally got it recently. and so i loved what happened for her in this episode - first that she realized she had more growing and changing to do on her own, and then that she came up with the rule-busting plan that ends with her not feeling alone, for the first time. no more whining for buffy, she's anything but the only one. i loved it. and i loved the scene of the girls coming into their power. so great. and willow tapping into the good power and kennedy loving her. and the speech about the choices being theirs. yeah, women. yeah.

as for the rest. i feel ok about what happened with spike. (partly because of angel casting spoilers, perhaps.) [livejournal.com profile] scottxwl makes a good point about it being a man who wipes out the ubervamps and closes the hellmouth... but. i don't know. that didn't bother me. maybe because he was so buffy's man. he would never have been there in the first place if not for her and her decisions in regard to him. her ability to love him (which she does grrr) and defend him and allow him to be redeemed.

thank god we got rid of angel in the beginning of the show. buh bye.

i knew it would be anya - i'm sure i wasn't the only one picking up that vibe esp last week. my biggest criticism of this show was that there wasn't more given to her death. a pat on the shoulder for andrew? that was just weirdly emotionless. but i was left with great hope for andrew - 'why am i alive?' or whatever he said. yeah, a good question.

so, the worst part is that next week, we don't get to tune in and watch them riding around the country in a school bus, finding slayers and telling them what's what. damn. it's been a mad buffy blitz for me. one year of the goodness. i'm very glad there are so many eps i still haven't seen. i still have things to look forward to. but yeah, right now i just want to hug [livejournal.com profile] scottxwl and thank thank thank him for introducing me to this goodness. ::love::

aw jeez. now i'm all misty. might be partly due to the raging hormones and the fact that i stayed up til 2 last night. i didn't mean to. when i got back from driving [livejournal.com profile] powerfulkatrina home, i decided to just quickly read one story and then go to bed. just so happens that the story i landed on was [livejournal.com profile] ukcalico's fred/george/lance bass. holy... something. wow. there was no giving that one up before it was over. goddamn. how does she do that? whew.

right. now, off to work again again. [livejournal.com profile] starbuckle, i'm itching to get at your ficlet - i hope i'll have a chance this afternoon after work.

oh and, scott and harri? look at me being too lazy to write this in e-mail. hee. rach and i are looking for a place to stay in noho friday night. might we stay with you? i know your house has been jam packed lately, so no pressure at all. we can ask her friends J and A if you're not up for it. but if you are, we'll make you breakfast! let me know. thanks!

ahahaha. hi, spike!

and thanks for the jeanette winterson love. i think you would be even more impressed with it if you had seen the buffy episode from which the pic comes - called, fittingly, storyteller. it is perhaps the most brilliant hour of television there ever was. amazing. and all about the voice of the storyteller and... well, you'll have to see it. ::loves::

yeah, and cal's twincest! unbelievable. and yet, believable bc that's what she does. phew. yeah.
