spent a significant amount of time this a.m. drooling over the rotk pics. i only wish there had been one of badass!eowyn instead of sickbed!eowyn. i guess that would be spoilery. ::sigh:: i can. not. wait for badass!eowyn. also, the pic with aragorn and legolas - where legolas has one hand on aragorn's shoulder and the other on his bow? ::adolescent giggles::
yesterday stayed a good day all the way through. rach's concert was very nice. the mozart requiem is one highly satisfying piece of music. to say the least. and we went to a late dinner afterward with my dad, E, rach's friend C and her friend. nice nice.
today, church. lalala. it's kind of a fun service. Coming of Age sunday. all the kids in the re program who are 14 (i think, maybe 13) do this thing where all year they've been hanging out with an adult mentor and completing a long list of tasks/projects. and also, they've been working on their credos which they will read to the congregation today - a short essay on what they believe about life, the universe and everything. i was rather impressed with some of them last year. i don't think i could write that essay, my own thoughts are so vague. and this year one of the participants is meg murray (yup, her real name) who is a 40 year old woman trapped in an awkward adolescent body. her mentors are the other lesbian couple in the church. i'll be interested to see what she's come up with.
