celebrate good times

phineasjoneswhy the evil!minister had to call me at 8 something on a wednesday morning to tell me she's resigning is a question i can't answer. but whatever. i was appropriately calm and solemn while talking to her and then hung up and began my song and dance of joy!!! she'll finish out this church year - til mid-june. and then we'll have someone new in the fall. omg! i'm so frickin excited. of course, i know that the next minister (probably an interim at first.. hm) could have his/her own issues, but i feel like the search committee knows how to be a little more careful now. and so i am optimistic.
other news of the good: i finished the novel i was reading! and was very much satisfied by the ending. except for the fact that it wasn't fanfic, it was rather like a really long, complicated, interesting, well-written slash story. and really, is there much higher praise? i like it better than affinity though perhaps not quite as much as tipping the velvet. but really, i recommend the books of sarah waters to anyone looking for a good read. (and especially tipping the velvet to those who like hot girlsex in their good reads)

hackthis's i/p. i enjoyed them... but i find bobby's voice a little... unbobby. i'm just suspending my disbelief of that to go on and read them all though bc, damn. good stuff.
