he watching slumbers not nor sleeps

much productivity has been going on today. the bedroom is finished. alxamdulilaay. and we got rugs and frames and curtains... and pillow stuffing. and have subsequently put down rugs and framed things and hung curtains and stuffed pillows. exciting stuff.

yes, bc rach is home today, it feels more like a sunday then a monday. she has the day off bc she worked all saturday.

last night we watched wonder boys. i think that movie is making its way onto my all-time favorites list. even though it has michael douglas in it.

before i got in the shower today, i styled rach's hair... this involved th blow dryer. when i got out of the shower, she hadn't put it away... thus i was greeted with the vision of the plugged in hair dryer upon exiting the shower... and reminded instantly of my dream. later, as we were pulling up in front of our house, a little boy came running out of our driveway carrying a ball he had probably thrown into our yard or something. i had a momentary heart attack when he ran by the car bc he looked impossibly like andrew did at his age. something's weird about today. some days are like that. sometimes i think it's some cosmic force willing me not to go too long without thinking about him. seriously thinking... and remembering.

i know that this isn't in keeping with the thoughtful tone of your entry, but i'm so glad that you like wonder boys. i rented it last fall and was so happy with it, but had no one with whom to discuss it. toby maguire does an amazing job. the only surprise cast wise was how much i liked katie holmes performance.

it's a fucking good movie. and tobey maguire really is amazing. i think he steals the movie. of course, i may think that because of my undying hate for michael douglas. it's amazing enough that i can love a movie in which he is featured. and katie holmes does well, you're right. you just have to stop thinking about dawson while you watch her.
