help me think for myself

exercised! go me. and now i've showered and i smell good. i enjoy smelling good. i stuck my head out the door and it's amazingly warm and sunny. but it's not supposed to stay that way and so i have a clothing dilemma. hmmm. guess i'll have to bring a coat. lalala.

so, i am an indecisive girl and i need some help. i got two electronic gift certificates for my b-day - $25 for amazon and $50 for any on-line store. now i'm trying to decide what to do with them. buying angel season 1 seems an obvious choice... the show is sucking me in and i'm going to wear out my buffy dvds if i keep to my present path. that would use up approximately $50. also, i've been craving new and exciting music lately - classical and non. (i would gladly take suggestions in that realm). so, it would be exciting to buy a bunch of cds. but then... i'm a poor girl and maybe i should be saving this up in case i need to buy something soon and am otherwise broke. hmmm. so... what should i do?

i have other reasons for thinking you should save it, so there! besides, the saving category is at 50% right now.

am looking at somewhat similar situation with giftcards to barnes & noble and bestbuy -- have $25 to spend at each and cannot seem to decide what to buy. think i will hold out for the HP & the CoS dvd (11 april!) for bestbuy. i know that doesn't help you with anything, but hey, it's a bit o' sympathy. :::loves:::

just wanted to add my opinion and didn't want to be selecting...that's your problem...but my opinion is...spend it! it's mad money...can't be used for bills...its a b'day present (at least the part I gave you!)

Buy CDs! Lots of CDs! And I'm not just saying that because I hope to raid your collection some day. :-) Have you heard Orchestra Baobab? You probably have, but I just bought their album Specialist in All Styles yesterday, and I really like it, so I thought I'd mention it.

Yes, Rudy Gomis is in the group. He was your Wolof teacher? That's so cool! The album is great; I didn't realize there was so much Cuban influence on Senegalese popular music, but several of the songs have a real Cuban feel to them. There's even a track on which both Youssou N'dour and Ibrahim Ferrer (of Buena Vista Social Club fame) sing--very pretty.
