Jun. 11th, 2005 10:34 ammmmmmgroggy. but finally we got a good night's sleep and are facing the delightful prospect of a day spent primarily outside the car.
yesterday was mostly in the car because we saw 8 apartments, the first at 8 am the last at 5 pm. so there was a lot of driving around the city and exploring various neighborhoods and such. it was fun, but tiring.
and we found a place that we desperately want. it's at the high end of what we are willing to pay but she's willing to bring it down from the rent she was originally asking... and, actually, rach poked around on craig's list this morning and found out that the started listing it weeks ago for much more than that. people are crazy. this place is beauitful! it's a house - a whole, little house. and the first floor is all renovated - shining wood floors, a great kitchen with a dishwasher and washer/dryer and beautiful cabinets. the second floor is cute, with sloping ceilings and little window nooks. there are great closets! and a basement. and there's a yard and off-street parking and the owner was really nice. and we wants it precious. and it's in a really cute neighborhood in the northwest of denver - slightly closer to boulder and thus a potentially easier commute to school for me. and it's adorable and there's a little, independent natural food store in walking distance. does this need to be our house or what? yes. yes, it does.
so now we need her to call us back. we left her a message last night. she said she really liked us and wanted us to take the place... i hope nothing has happened since yesterday morning to change her mind. eep.
