day 2: to the oak grove

slighty more than 12 hours after leaving home, we arrived in beautiful downtown columbus. and actually, it does seem much nicer than i was led to believe.

we don't really have any exiting road adventures to report. it was an extremely uneventful 12 hours. we stopped to pee about 46 times and had a wee picnic in batavia, ny. and then had a rather incredible dinner last night when we got here. mmm.

and now we're brewing coffee and rach is in the shower and we're getting ready for another 12 hours in the car. today's destination is oak grove, missouri, just outside of kansas city. which means most of today's driving will be in the state of missouri. which is crazy. states aren't supposed to be that big!
